Newspaper Announcements
We can take care of all your newspaper announcements should you wish to publish them in a local paper before the funeral service. Prices can be discussed.
Following the funeral service you may wish to place a thanks notice or obituary in the local paper. |
Floral Tributes
To help you find the right floral tribute for your loved one, we have available a book of example tributes created by our local florist. We can carry out the orders on your behalf, or you may wish to place your own order.
If friends and family arrange their own flowers, please ensure the flowers are delivered to us. It's advisable to call us to check what time we will require the flowers. |
Donations
Families often choose a charity for donations in lieu of flowers. On the day of the funeral there will be a donation box available. After the funeral, we will accept donations by post, at our business address, or via our website. Cheques must be made payable to the chosen charity.
We will forward the donations to the chosen charity and write to the next of kin to advise how much was raised in their loved one’s memory. |
Funeral Stationery
Order Of service
Service sheets can be designed to suit your needs but we do have a template you can use for a starting point. We will distribute the service sheets on the day of the funeral, any service sheets left over will be collected after the service and returned to you. Name Cards We will be present at the church or crematorium before the service and friends attending will be invited to sign a name card. The cards are passed to the family after the service. Memorials We are not monumental masons but we can put you in touch with local reputable firms who will be able to assist you further. |
Pre-Payment Funeral Plans
A funeral plan is an easy way to arrange the funeral you want in advance. A plan allows you to specify your wishes and pay for the funeral director’s services included in your plan. As customers often tell us, that can bring peace of mind to you and your family. A plan from Golden Charter also includes an allowance towards third party costs. These are essential, non-funeral director services such as the cremation or burial fees, plus the minister or officiant’s fee to perform the service.
